Umbrella Labs Review: The Short Answer
Umbrella Labs is a US research chemical retailer based in Tucson, Arizona. It publishes a dated COA archive and ships free within the United States. Its customer feedback is the weak spot: a 3.0 rating on Trustpilot from 235 reviews, with repeated complaints about slow dispatch and messages that go unanswered, and an FDA warning letter on record from 2021.
Plenty of customers say their orders arrived and they were happy. But if dependable support matters to you, we think Licensed Peptides is the better option, for the reasons in the box above. Full disclosure: this site is published on behalf of Licensed Peptides, so we are biased. Everything below is sourced, so you can check it yourself.
Is Umbrella Labs Legit?
Umbrella Labs is a real, operating company: it has a public storefront, a claimed Trustpilot profile since July 2023, a street address in Tucson and a published COA archive. Many reviewers report receiving their orders. So it is not a phantom store.
“Legit” and “easy to deal with” are different questions, though. The pattern in public reviews is orders that sit in “processing”, slow shipping and support that does not reply, combined with a strict no-refund policy. That is the risk we would weigh before ordering.
What We Checked
On October 10, 2026 we read Umbrella Labs’ Trustpilot profile, its own FAQ and COA pages, a widely shared Reddit investigation thread and the FDA warning-letter index. We did not buy or test any products. See how we compare.
Umbrella Labs Customer Reviews
Trustpilot Ratings and Review Count
Umbrella Labs’ Trustpilot profile showed a 3.0 rating from 235 reviews on October 10, 2026, with 56 reviews in the previous 12 months. Trustpilot also displays two notices on the profile: the company “hasn’t replied to negative reviews”, and it “hasn’t invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative”.
Shipping and Dispatch Complaints
Trustpilot’s own summary of recent reviews says some people reported “significant delays in shipping, where labels are printed but packages sit without moving for weeks”. One July 2026 reviewer who was otherwise pleased wrote that “shipping took forever”. Another reviewer said an order placed on March 14 was still showing “Processing” a week later; they later updated the review to say the order eventually arrived.
Customer Support and Order Issues
Response time is the theme Trustpilot flags as “a major source of frustration”. Its summary notes “a complete lack of response from customer service when trying to resolve missing items or communication issues”. An August 2026 reviewer said one item arrived cracked and empty, and “I tried to contact them several times, no reply.”
Payment Methods and Order Terms
The FAQ on Umbrella Labs’ homepage lists personal debit cards (account login required, business cards not accepted), same-day bank payment, a US bank account option and Bitcoin. On refunds it is blunt: “We DO NOT provide refunds. No refunds is a company policy so please don’t ask.” Items can be returned, but no refund is given. With support complaints this common, a no-refund policy raises the stakes of a problem order.
What Customers Praise
To be fair, many reviews are positive. Trustpilot’s summary says most of the 61 recent reviews it evaluated were “somewhat happy”, and reviewers mention secure packaging, useful documentation and the test certificates included with orders. One August 2026 reviewer wrote that some orders shipped less than two hours after payment.
Reddit Discussions
A widely shared r/Nootropics post, “Is Umbrella Labs legit? My investigation”, gathers older Reddit threads about the company. Its author says they never ordered and based it on Reddit comments only. The threads it collects are split: many users report no problems, while others describe orders that never arrived, emails that went unanswered and slow shipping. Some commenters suspected that positive posts were not genuine. These are anonymous, unverified accounts, so weigh them accordingly.
COAs and Laboratory Documentation
Umbrella Labs publishes a COA archive organised by category and date, with lot numbers. Its 2026 certificates reference Vanguard Laboratory (A2LA Certificate 6377.01.01); older ones came from MZ Biolabs. The results we saw show HPLC purity and quantity, plus an endotoxin (LAL) result on a bulk lot. We did not see a mass-spectrometry identity, sterility or heavy-metal result. The FAQ states its products “generally average over 99% pure”.
A COA covers the sample the lab received. Match the lot number on the vial to the document, and check which tests were actually run.
FDA Record
The FDA issued warning letter 612037 to Umbrella, at the same Tucson address, on May 18, 2021. The letter says the FDA reviewed the company’s websites, including umbrellalabs.is, and cited products sold there as unapproved new drugs and misbranded drugs under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. The letter is a public record (FDA warning letter 612037); we did not check whether the issues it raised were later resolved. We found no FDA warning letter for Licensed Peptides.
Shipping, Returns and Support
Umbrella Labs ships only within the United States, offers free standard shipping (USPS Priority, tracked) with paid FedEx and Express upgrades, and states that orders “generally are sent out within 24-48 hours”. Returns are accepted but not refunded. Support is by phone line and email. The stated 24 to 48 hour dispatch is worth comparing with the reviews above.

Why We Pick Licensed Peptides
The biggest problems in Umbrella Labs’ reviews are communication and follow-through. Those are exactly the areas where Licensed Peptides makes itself easy to check.
Phone and Text Support
Licensed Peptides publishes a phone number you can call or text, +1 (855) 322-2214, Monday to Friday, plus email. If something goes wrong with an order, you can reach a person.
Batch Documentation
Its purity report library shows 133 reports across 86 products, with a separate endotoxin report library. Reports come from Vanguard Laboratory (A2LA Certificate 6377.01) and Ethos Analytics. The company describes release gates for every batch: HPLC purity of at least 99.0%, mass-spectrometry identity, endotoxin (LAL), sterility to USP <71> and fill weight within ±0.5%. We think it is the highest-quality option among the 10 research peptide companies we reviewed, and the reports are public, so you can check them instead of relying on our word.

Where Umbrella Labs Stands Out
Umbrella Labs does some things well. Its COA archive is dated and carries lot numbers, its 2026 certificates name an accredited laboratory, standard US shipping is free, and several reviewers say orders arrived well packed with test certificates included. If you already order from Umbrella Labs without trouble, those are real positives.
